Learn how to safely and effectively employ a modern carbine. This is a formal class for which attendees who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate. This is a pre-requisite course for all subsequent carbine/rifle classes.

- Basic function and manipulation of your firearm
- Proper stance and form

Required Gear
- Functioning and well maintained carbine (AR-15, AK47, or similar) in a case.
- Sling
- A minimum of 3 spare magazines.
- A minimum of 1 magazine pouch.
- Sturdy belt (shooter’s belt, rigger’s belt, etc.).
- At least 150 rounds of quality ammunition.
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (electronic is recommended).
- Shooting mat
- Close-toed shoes
- Hydration

- Shemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and spent cartridges.
