The shotgun is the most versatile firearm in existence. From personal defense, hunting, or sporting purposes, the shotgun handles the largest variety of ammunition: bird shot, buck shot, slugs, less than lethal, and much more. This makes the shotgun an indispensable tool to any household. In this level 1 course we will teach you the ins and outs of your shotgun so that you are safe and proficient in its use for defensive purposes.

- Proper stance and form

Required Gear
- Functioning and well maintained shotgun (pump action, semi-auto, break action, etc.) in a case.
- Sling
- Saddle and/or shell pouch. If magazine fed, at least 2 extra magazines.
- Sturdy belt (shooter’s belt, rigger’s belt, etc.).
- At least 100 rounds of 00 buck and 10 slugs.
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (electronic is recommended).
- Close-toed shoes
- Hydration
- Snacks
Recommended Gear
- Hat
- Shemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and spent cartridges.
- Sunscreen
- Pants and long sleeve shirt.
- First aid kit/IFAK
