SUMMARY:Open Practice
DESCRIPTION:Come practice the skills you’ve learned in formal courses in a more relaxed environment. These practice sessions usually involve a mix of pistol and carbine shooting\, but that can change depending on the students’ needs and requests. The first half of the session is usually pistol drills and in the second half we move up to long guns. Those who only want to shoot pistol can leave after the fist portion or hang out and watch. You’ll have the benefit of direction and supervision by an instructor as well as the use of high-quality paper and steel targets at a price that is accessible to all. \nRequired Gear \n\nFunctioning and well maintained handgun(s) in a case.\nQuality holster (IWB/OWB\, non-Serpa) and a sturdy belt.\nFunctioning and well maintained rifle(s) in a case.\nA minimum of 2 spare magazines for each weapon.\nA minimum of 1 magazine pouch for each weapon.\nAt least 200 rounds of quality ammunition for each weapon.\nEye protection\nEar protection (electronic is recommended).\nClose-toed shoes\nHydration\nSnacks\n\nRecommended Gear \n\nHat\nShemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and spent cartridges.\nSunscreen (The first portion of the class might be done in daylight)\nPants and long sleeve shirt.\nShooting mat (if shooting rifles)\nFirst aid kit/IFAK\n\nDO NOT SHOW UP TO ANY EVENT IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED AND BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE FROM ALPHA1. \nANYONE SHOWING UP UNANNOUNCED AND WITHOUT THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF AN INSTRUCTOR WILL BE TURNED AWAY. \n\nPlease click on the icon above to pay securely via credit/debit card.

DESCRIPTION:Precision shooting at long distances is a necessary skill for all firearms enthusiasts. It’s application ranges from hunting\, to competition\, to defending your property\, or just plain recreation. In fact\, knowing the basics like zeroing\, ballistics\, using high power optics\, etc. are firearms fundamentals that everyone should know and practice.
