DESCRIPTION:Precision shooting at long distances is a fundamental skill for all firearms enthusiasts. Its application ranges from hunting\, competition\, defending property\, or just plain recreation. In fact\, knowing the basics of zeroing\, ballistics\, using magnified optics\, etc. are firearms skills that all firearms enthusiasts should know and practice. In this course\, you will learn everything you need to know to get started shooting intermediate to long distances (300-1\,000+ yards). Class size is limited to 10 people due to limited space on the shooting platform. Spots claimed on a first-come-first-served basis. \nTopics Covered \n\nFirearm safety\nBasic function and manipulation of your firearm.\nDifferent types of zeroes based on rifle and needs.\nBasics of external ballistics.\nMil vs. MOA\nUsing dope charts/apps.\nShooting from the prone and seated positions.\nEngaging targets out to 1\,000 yards (for those with the adequate equipment)\nMuch more!\n\nRequired Gear \n\nZeroed and well maintained rifle (bolt or semi-auto) with magnified optics (minimum .223 caliber\, max .338 LM).\nSling\nBipod or shooting rest.\nAt least 100 rounds of quality ammunition.\nEye protection\nEar protection (electronic is recommended).\nShooting mat\nClose-toed shoes\nHydration\nSnacks\n\n\nRecommended Gear \n\nHat\nShemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and ejected shells.\nSunscreen\nPants and long sleeve shirt.\nFirst aid kit/IFAK\n\nThe cost for this class is $100.
